James got me flowers on Saturday and I just got around to taking a picture of them. He doesn't get my flowers very often, so its a special treat when he does. He knows I love white roses so he always gets me them when he does get me flowers. I firmly believe in the saying "stop and smell the roses" Everytime we go into a store that has flowers out I always smell at least one.

I have been wanting a sanitizer for awhile now. Finally it went on sale at Target and my husband said I could get it. It will be so much easier to clean MJ's bottles and pacifers with this instead of boiling 'em all the time. I can load it up, turn it on, and walk away. This picture was just after it finished a load of bottles and nipples.

My car is the one on the left, my husband's is the right one. My car is a 2003 Ponitac Grand Am GT. My Husband's is a 2006 Chevy Impala. Mine was a graduation present from college. At first I hate this car, but the more I drove it the more I liked it. I named her GiGi and now that I need a different one to haul MJ around I'm having a hard time getting rid of her. I wish we could keep it and still get me a new one, but we can't afford to keep her and get a new one for me. My husband had to get a new one because he hit a deer a couple of months before our wedding and this is the type of car he wanted.

My mom and I took my nephew, Ty and MJ to the ZOO. Ty will be 3 at the end of the month. He seemed to enjoy it, but was disappointed because they didn't have any elephants. Its a small zoo, so they didn't have that many "exotic" animals. This picture was just before he got to feed the fish.

The inside of my fridge is pretty "full" at the moment. We just had gone grocery shopping. We haven't been grocery shopping in a long time. It seems that we never have really a lot of food in our fridge. We have more food in our pantry then anything.

Dove Chocolate is one of my favorite candy. I have a lot of different ones, it kind of depends on what mood I'm in for that day, week, or month. Right now Dove is the best. This bag has peanut butter in it, not my favorite kind of Dove Chocolate.

Picking just one piece of clothing was not possible. It really depends on my mood on what my favorite is. The red t-shirt is about 12 years old. I played softball in 8th grade and that was my shirt, it is so soft after many years of washes. I just got this gray long sleeve shirt last year and it's my go to shirt when I don't know what else to wear. If I want to feel like I'm dressing up a little I will wear this sweater. And the brown shirt is my go-to shirt during the warmer months. I didn't get to wear it this year because I was pregnant and I'm still not down to my pre-pregnancy weight yet.

I have two backdoors. One is our glass slider (top picture) and the other a regular door. Here is the view from each door. Since they are right next to each other the pictures are pretty much the same.

Every Friday night my In-Laws have been watching MJ for a few hours so James and I can get some time for each other. This week instead of going out shopping we are spending the evening organizing our Basement storage areas. Here are the before pictures. The first one in in our furance room and the second is in our laundry room.

I forgot to post a picture of our pool after we drained the water out of it. So this weekend we took the sides down and let the liner dry out a bit more. This is what it looked like. We are cutting up the liner and throwing it away on Trash Day this week. I'm so excited to see this pool gone. The only bad thing is we were gonna put a patio out there, but we don't have the money for it this year. Maybe if we get a big enough tax rebate we can get new windows and the patio done.

I really didn't feel like taking pictures of my laundry because it just reminds me that I need to be actually doing the laundry instead of taking pictures of it. So I took a picture of my upstairs half bath. My husband finally let me put some ducks in it instead of having it all white. A little background information: We bought this house in October 2009, we fell in love with it right off the bat. We didn't notice some of the minor details of the house, like the upstairs half bath had one wall that wasn't drywall it was more wood like. We were painting the house in November after we closed on it and I was upstairs trying to strip the wall border off the wall so we could prime and paint it. I was going to be allowed to put my ducks in this bathroom, since my husband didn't really want a duckie bathroom he let me have a half bath full of duckies. As I was peeling the border off I notice it a brown color behind the border on just one wall. That is when we discovered it was wood and not drywall. So his mom ended up taking over in the bathroom and got most of the wall border off and fixed the walls up somewhat and we just primed the bathroom because we knew we would have to fix the wall before we sold it.

So fast forward to months later and James finally let me put some stuff in the bathroom since we had to put all house projects for the most part on hold until I go back to work.

My favorite piece of furniture was an easy one for me. It's my glider sitting in MJ's room. I have always wanted one of these since I was a teenager. My freshman RA had one in her room and I was so envious of her. Once I got pregnant I knew I would get a glider. I have spent many of hours in this glider before MJ was even born talking on the phone and reading my pregnancy books.

I didn't travel anywhere really today that had cool architecture. But the one thing in my house that I couldn't live without are my bookshelves that my Father-in-law and husband made for me in April. This room is our newest project perse. It is the one room in the house that has nothing on the walls yet. My husband gets the whole basement of our house as his man cave and all I get is this one room so I'm having a hard time picking out pictures and what to do with this room.

Even though I have a kid....a girl that will probably love dressing up...she is a little young to be dressing up already. So I bring you a picture of her in her swing. I place her in her swing when she is sleeping and I need to run out to get the mail. Well, today she must have been having some major dreams about sliding, because when I came in she was not in the position I placed her in. I always put her head on the "pillow" so it's supported and doesn't fall to the side in an uncomfortable position. I think now I'm gonna have to start using the straps when I well to get the mail. :( She hates it when I strap her in when she is sleeping, it always wakes her up.

I couldn't decide on just one piece of jewelery so I decided to show you one piece from each "catergory" Ring, bracelet, necklace, watch. I don't have any favorite earrings. So my favorite ring is my wedding ring. It is actually 3 different "rings" in one. My engagement ring was two rings in one, a solitaire and a wrap around it. My wedding band is an enhancer to make it look like I have a band of diamonds around engagement ring. When everything is all together it looks like I have diamonds all around my solitaire. I LOVE IT.

My favorite watch is the Movodo that my husband bought for me for Valentine's day in 2009.

My favorite bracelet he got for me as my wedding day present. He originally got me one for our first Christmas together that was from Target and looked just like this except it didn't have diamonds it had chips of diamond I think....

My favorite necklace is a heart with three diamonds in it. I got this necklace for Christmas 2008 because we traded in my original wedding band for my new one a week before the wedding. I think my new band cost less then my old so I got to pick out this necklace and earrings.

I'm finally caught back up. This is a picture of a car seat cover that my mom and I made yesterday for MJ this fall/winter to use. It will attach to her car seat handle so it won't slip off as we are taking her places. I am having a hard time keeping a blanket on the carseat to keep the sun off of her as the wind blows the blanket off. So I'm thinking I need to make one for the rest of the summer, until I need to use this winter one.

August 17, 2010-Lots of pictures

The top picture is of our pool taken just after we finished poking a bunch of holes in the bottom of it on Monday. When we bought the house in October it came with the pool. James and I didn't want a pool and said we would take it down during the summer. First we took down the deck back in June. Then July rolled around and that was MJ's month of getting ready for her and then taking care of her. So now August is here and we are finally emptying the pool out. The middle picture was taken at 3:30 after one of MJ's feedings. The bottom one was taken in the morning. I am so happy to be getting rid of this pool. Hopefully we can get some money out of the sides and the accesories.

This is a picture of my brother holding MJ for probably one of the first or second time. He is a little scared that he will break her since his son was 9 lbs when he was born and MJ was only 7 lbs. She is weighing in about 9 lbs now though.

MJ turned 1 month yesterday. I can't believe how time has flown by. Soon I will have to go back to work to which I'm not looking forward to. I don't like being at home all the time, but I don't think I'm gonna like leaving her at my mother-in-laws either. Here is a picture off our camera of her chilling on the couch. My mother-in-law took some better pictures that I don't have on the computer yet.

So I'm doing yesterday's Plastic theme today. I took this picture at my mother-in-law's house. She has a bowl of apples and pears sitting on her kitchen table. The first time I saw them I almost grabbed an apple to eat. (I love green apples) Had she not started talking about how she found them at a craft store I might have tried to take a bite out of a plastic fruit.

I was driving home from my parent's house and I saw this sky. It would have been a better picture had the car window not been up part way. I was driving down the road and had cars behind me. The part that I wanted to show up didn't show up as well as I would have liked. Right by the last tree on the far right is a very blue patch of sky. The rest of the sky looked like the sunset, but that little(big) piece.

OK, I'm a little behind on posting pictures up here. I have been busy running everywhere with MJ. I have decided to stop posting pictures to MJ's website due to some personal issues. My husband didn't like me posting a new one everyday of her for the world to see. He is afraid that something could go wrong. So this picture was taken on 8-11-10. It had just rained here and the temps outside were in the 90's. I look outside and our garage looked like it was on fire from all the steam coming off of the roof.

So today's theme is shoes, and even though I love shoes like the next girl. I'm posting a picture of my favorite purse. I have always wanted a Dooney & Bourke, but could never afford it. For Christmas this year my husband got me one. I carry it as often as I can, which now that I have to carry a diaper bag it is becoming less and less. It makes me sad.

These pictures were taken up in Door Co. Wisconsin. We didn't get to go up there this year because I was pregnant. I have only been up there a couple of times and I really enjoy the relaxed feeling you get up there. James and his family used to go every year with his grandparents. This is one of the first years that they haven't gone up as well. I was never a huge fan of going back to the same place year after year for vacation. I'm a firm believer that there is too much out in the world to see to go to the same place year after year. But I could go back to this place probably year after year. I look forward to taking my kid(s) up there when they are old enough to enjoy the laid back feel.

This is a picture of Brewer, he is our betta fish that we got from a pet store shortly after we got married. I have always loved fish, except I get bored with them and want to get rid of them. James has been pretty good about not letting me get rid of it. He has to feed it in the morning and I feed him at night, sometimes James has to feed him at night because I forget to feed him. Brewer isn't like a dog that will tell you when he is hungry, so he is easily forgotten.

My husband actually took this picture about a week or so ago. Everything had a hint of yellow to it, then it changed to orange, then purple and this is what the sunset looked like. It was kind of Wizard of Oz like.

This is taken outside our church. I wanted outdoor pictures for our wedding and we ran out of time, plus it was freezing as we were having a snow storm. It let up enough for us to go out after the ceremony and having a snowball fight and get a few nice pictures.

I made dinner last night for my friend Alyssa who came over to see MJ. Usually I don't make a dessert with dinner so my husband was pretty happy about that. He picked out this complete meals for something different. I wasn't all that impressed with it. It needed to have more chicken in it. Although it was pretty easy to make so that was nice. The Reeses dessert was a little rich and it can only last 2 days in the fridge. The nice thing about this one was that the pan came with the box.

MJ's first bath in her whale tub!!!! We were waiting until her belly button healed before we put her in the tub. She seemed to like it. I can't wait until she can play with the toys we got her.

I picked my bed as my subject today. I miss getting a full nights sleep. I haven't had a full night of sleep in I'm not sure how many months. I guess though that is part of being pregnant and having a 2.5 week old in your house.
